If you haven’t been living under a rock, you’ve probably heard of Coronavirus and its spread throughout the globe. This is especially important if you’re a Pokemon GO fan since it’s a social game. Fortunately, Niantic is updating the core game to work inside the home and canceling all mini-events across the game. Continue to do all your day-to-day activities inside, which will still count towards your in-game achievements. Make sure you stay inside during this pandemic as you’ll still be able to enjoy GO in the comfort of your home!
Spring Event
Spring has begun and what’s better to celebrate with an event? Starting April 9th to April 20th, enjoy Lucky Eggs that last for an hour, 2x Hatch Candy, new in-game items and new Pokemon hatching. You’ll also see more wild Pokemon appearing in the wild, such as Torchic, Maril, Markeep, and Chansey. You may even encounter a Shiny Exeggcute!
Note: 1/2 Hatch Distance bonus will continue throughout the event, so you won’t have to worry about not receiving the bonus anymore!
1/2 Hatch Distance bonus is ongoing until further notice—which means it will be applied during this event! Just make sure to place your Eggs into Incubators while the bonus is running. Check the full patch notes here: https://pokemongolive.com/en/post/springevent2020/
April Pokemon Spotlight
In combination with the Spring, Event is April Pokemon Spotlight. We’ll continue to get our mini-events, Spotlight Hour and Mystery Bonus. It will take place on April 7th and last through April 28th. Each day will have a spotlight, earning you twice the EXP. Read full patch notes here: https://pokemongolive.com/en/post/april-spotlight-hour/
